SMILE Station and Oaks Pioneer Church can be rented!

For social events, business meetings, memorials, weddings and wedding receptions, both SMILE Station and Oaks Pioneer Church can be rented from SMILE, which owns both.

SMILE is an acronym for "Sellwood-Moreland Improvement League", and is the city-recognized neighborhood association for both the Sellwood and Westmoreland neighborhoods.

SMILE owns its own building, SMILE Station, on the southeast corner of S.E. 13th and Tenino (a block south of Tacoma Street on 13th), which can seat upwards of 100, with tables and chairs on-site, a pull-down projection screen, a full industrial kitchen available, and separate men's and women's restrooms. There is a piano available.

Oaks Pioneer Church (www.oakspioneerchurch.org) is located just north of the east end of the Sellwood Bridge, and this historic structure -- over a century and a half old, and lovingly cared for -- is the site each year of many weddings and memorials.
