ABOUT THE SANTA ROSA NEIGHBORHOOD COALITION

We are a group of people in Santa Rosa, California who agree that citizen participation is vital to developing a good community and good government.  We are active in identifying important issues that affect Santa Rosans and encourage our neighbors to take action. We alert all citizens to pending actions by the City Council, Planning Commission, and local groups, and work together to develop independent thinking and leadership in our city and county.

We are a non-partisan, eclectic, supportive group from a wide range of economic, social, and political backgrounds.  We stand for property rights, for the right to privacy, the right to dissent, freedom of speech, and freedom of assembly.  'Of the people, by the people, and for the people'---not just words to us, but a defining element of the American experience.  We require our government to be responsive to its citizens, and we hold it accountable for its actions.  We stand as an example of what the people can do to take back their communities from manipulators, special interest groups, and artificial neighborhood associations.

Currently on our site you will find our actions regarding alleged violations by Michael Allen (7th District Assembly) of the Fair Political Practices Commission rules, the pending Mandatory Green Building Retrofit Program (Santa Rosa and Sonoma County), the manipulative and community destroying Delphi Technique, the controversial Humboldt Bike Boulevard and more.  To read our blog please click on Watch SR Blog.

SRNC does not endorse candidates, nor do we seek, offer, or accept contributions to or from elected officials or candidates for office.

Is there an issue that you think is important?  A letter you wrote that didn't get into the PD that you'd like to see here?  Something you want to see investigated?  Upset about 'visioning'?  Want to improve this website with your great web design skills?  Like to distribute flyers?
