About Los Pleneros de la 21:

LP21 is a Grammy Nominated music ensemble and nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and expansion of cultural arts, particularly Afro-Puerto Rican traditions of Bomba and Plena. They are regarded by many as New York City’s ambassadors of Bomba and Plena. The family of Los Pleneros de la 21—a hardworking visionary staff, an intergenerational performing ensemble, a crew of versatile and veteran teaching artists and a dedicated core of community volunteers—have for over 28 years combined accessible community and cultural programs in New York City with international touring and performing initiatives to service thousands of New York City and Latino audiences worldwide each year.
