Weed and Seed, a community-based strategy sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice, is a comprehensive multi-agency approach to law enforcement, crime prevention, and community revitalization.

The Weed and Seed strategy is to “weed out” violent criminals and drug abusers and to plant the “seed” of community-based human services programs.
