About Denver's INC
PLEASE SEE OUR NEW WEBSITE: www.denverinc.org.
INC offers the ability for neighborhood organizations to speak to Denver's City officials with a stronger, unified voice about areas of common interest.
The basis for INC is a belief that neighborhood organizations deserve a greater role in shaping Denver’s future, and we believe that individual neighborhoods are stronger when they work together and learn from one another.
INC and its committees address city-wide issues including zoning, transportation, education, parks and recreation, and public safety on behalf of Denver's neighborhoods.
INC was established in 1975 and operates as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization which is “staffed” by hundreds of dedicated, civic-minded Denver residents-all volunteers from their respective neighborhoods.
Our Mission
Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation’s mission is to advocate for Denver citizens by bringing together, informing and empowering Denver neighborhood organizations to actively engage in addressing city issues.
Our Purpose
-Bring together the independent neighborhood organizations of Denver in a coalition to represent the interests of neighborhoods and to collectively address issues of common interest, especially those which may have citywide impact
-Nominate neighborhood representatives, without regard to political party affiliation, to serve on public commissions, boards and task forces
-Take an active role in working with city government and others in shaping Denver’s future.
-Increase autonomy, diversity, and power for neighborhoods, and to offer assistance when aid is requested and applicable
-Support Denver Public Schools through the INC-created Dollar Dictionary Drive , a program designed to annually provide a dictionary and thesaurus for every Denver Public School 3rd grader.
