About the Woodland Heights Organization
The WHO (Woodland Heights Organization) meets at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each Month at Callanan Middle School at the southeast corner of 31st and Center streets. Alternate locations include the Dahl's grocery store at Ingersoll Ave and 35th St as well as Smokey Row at MLK Jr Pkwy and Cottage Grove.

In existence as an informal group since 1980, the WHO was formally designated in 1990 and chartered in 1995. In order to include all residents, the WHO does not require its members to pay dues.

Since organizing, the WHO has rehabilitated nearly half of the homes within its boundaries, as well as added 20 more, with the assistance of Neighborhood Revitilization Board (NRB) and Neighborhood Finance Corporation (NFC) program funds totalling more than $13 million.
