WELCOME TO THE WHEATON CITIZENS COALITION WEBSITE - YOUR PLACE FOR INFORMATION ON WHAT'S HAPPENING IN WHEATON,HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE AND MUCH MORE!

WCC was organized in April, 1995.  Its objectives are (1) to advocate for and promote activities that enhanse community stability and vitality; (2) to serve as a medium for dissemination and exchange of information, and (3) to provide a unified voice on issues such as zoning, housing, schools, highways and traffic, revitalization and redevelopment, crime, the environment and other community issues.

 WCC works with organizations such as the Wheaton/ Kensington Chamber of Commerce, the Mid-County Cizitens Advisory Board, the Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee, the Wheaton Redevelopment Advisory Committee, Local First Wheaton, Green Wheaton, Montgomery Civic Federation and other local servic and civic organizations to promote common goals.

   Membership is open to any person who reside within Wheaton and who is interested in the objective of the Coalition. Dues are $5.00 per household annually and $15.00 for organizations. The WCC steering Committee meets bi-monthly, as necessary and meetings are open to the public.
