The muscatine journal has very little to do with muscatine anymore, ive known of several major accidents and events that they didnt even write about. Lets face it its a condensed version of the q.c.times.

Ya kin vote mor'n once. Kids kin vote. Even libs kin vote. How kin that be akurat?

This is in no way scientific, and I am a self professed moron, but as you may or may not know, our store is across the street and a little down the block from Democratic headquarters.  The number of people I see coming out of there carrying Obama/Biden yard signs is stagerring.  People walking around downtown with them, carrying them to their cars, it is really is mind boggling.  I have noticed that Democrats seem to be more willing to liter up their yards with signs than republicans.  Not scientific, just an observation.  Drive around town sometime and see if you don't see more democratic signs than republican.  Even bumper stickers.  I've seen a lot of "Obama 08" stickers than "McCain."  I did pull in to pick up some chinese food last night and parked behind a car that had a McCain/Palin bumper sticker.  First one I have seen in Muscatine.  Then I looked at the license plate and it was from Johnson county, so I'm not sure it counts.

Now to be fair I do not get to see how many people are coming out of republican headquarters carrying yard signs.  But just based on this it does seem to be Obama is taking Muscatine.

I agree. I'll try to reply without my one liner about the bumber sticker. I think Republicans have become ashamed of their party. I'm not a member, so I can't say that for sure. However it does feel that way. Bigbrother himself has not been as vocal as years past. You see no real strong arguement from conservative to support their party. Odd, wouldn't you say.
