Spoken like a true liberal, what happens when he taxes the hell out of your bracket?

And why do you liberals feel that the succesful people that work hard and make good money need to be "punished".

If you are too lazy to go to school and get a good education and make a nice living thats YOUR  problem. Not the problem of those who do succeed.

And if i remember correctly your own "slick willy" cut capital gains as well, in between soiling dresses. That cut in capital gains, created more revenue. Because people will work harder and make more when they get to keep more.

When i worked maintenance at I.B.P.  i volunteered for overtime like crazy. For a solid month straight i worked 7 days a week, 12 hrs a day. And uncle sam raped me so bad in taxes, i went back to working a straight 40, cuz it wasnt worth my time. My checks were right around 1378.00 a week before uncle sam raped me and around 1000.00 when he was done.

So the government lost money, because of how hard they hit me in taxes.

Nobama  and the liberals want to play robin hood, and its not right.

And i hear people griping about our economy, but whats to gripe about my wife said milk and some other foods are coming down in price, and gas has dropped almost 1.50 a gal in the last month. I would say thats good.

Yes, what IS wrong with the economy? People talk out of both sides of their mouth. We all just learned that NObama has raised more campaign money than ever in history - over 150 MILLION last month. So where are all those folks that are giving (throwing) their money away? Are these the same folks that we hear that can't afford their mortgage, or can't drive their car because gas is too high, or can't afford health care, or have to decide between eating and other necessities of life? They tell us that people are losing their jobs right and left - and they send their money to a political campaign?

Does any of this make any sense to any of you? What is wrong with this picture? I hear folks say that their 401K is now a 201K - are these same folks sending money to have even MORE campaign ads? I understand that next week there will be a thirty minute Obama infomercial - so how the hek much can something like that cost and who hasn't heard every possible pearl of wisdom from the Obama camp? If his campaign has so much money they don't what else to do with it - try charity.

The next time you hear someone talk about how terrible the economy is, ask them if they sent money for a political campaign. If they did, they aren't hurting.

Latest poll has Obama 11 points ahead. Pretty clear people want change.

Evening folks

Jeez, Iv'e seen and heard so much these past few weeks, it's hard to look at so many points of view and ad anything that doesn't sound biased. Left this, right that, liberal that conservative this. Dems. Repubs. Who did or didn't cause this or that. Capitalists, Socialists, economic slow down, recession, depression. Oh my heavens ladies and gentlemen, it's so obvious  America has fallen into a "Hatfield's vs The McCoys" Nation regarding a long term detrimental mess.

I see that some understand economics, at least rudimentary, and other simply do not. The majority of the millions donated to either party's campaigns are primarily from huge corporate entities hoping to start the favor train early on. Heck guys, I gave five dollars to each party, dems and repubs recently. The record amount Obama has garnered comes from a huge majority of those with the most, hoping to get attention and then, then there are us five and ten dollar givers across the entire populace of over 300 million of us. Yes it clear that "WE" want change on both sides. I apologize to those who hate reading lengthy text, but it's a complex system that many just don't seem to understand.

Taxes:On both sides the issue has been so twisted with hyperbole by those for or against the other, that we, the electorate generally don't understand it any longer. Keep in mind that neither McCain nor Obama have tax legislative authority to start with. What most candidates say they are for, rarely occur as reality at the oval office to the president. A plan is only as good or bad as the congress writing it. Be that as it may, the facts are, that both candidates "plans" are fraught with pain and pleasure.  I think I read the words "Punish" those who have worked hard for what they earn eighteen times today. That must be coming from the ones who earn that grand figure, or more than 250,000 annually. (That's taxable personal income per se') As a teacher of economics for eleven yrs, a chemical researcher husband for Monsanto in St.Louis for fifteen years, we never once brought home 250,000 and paid a higher percentage per dollar... in taxes than anyone earning well above that. What some here seem to misunderstand regarding those higher taxes, per Obama, is that by taking the current reduced rate given to those of "greater means" by congress and Bush, and increasing that tax rate to the common higher average, paid by those making far less, you then create a standard tax equality unknown by the top 10% since Reagan. Reagan called it "Supply Side/Trickle Down Economics." GHW Bush called that economic principal "VooDoo Economics" and my friends in the long run it doesn't work. and finally after nearly 30 years... has been proven a terrible failure. McCain's newer evolved plan: Wants to keep that failed system of economics unchanged, but also cut the rate even further to more wage levels. It is felt then, that by offering those(like Obams's plan) who earn less than 200,000 an even lower percentage, akin to those of greater means, McCain would do what NO OTHERadministration has ever successfully done; That is to deplete our national tax foundation to a level not seen since the advent of the "New Deal" It doesn't work! McCain is trying bless his heart, but lord knows, neither man can satisfy both sides of this tax coin, and keep our nation from falling even further toward another "Depression" In the realms of economics, I'm no "Wonder woman" but I do know quite a bit about it, And you'll just have to trust me here, you are not punishing any particular group having financial prowess, by taking our nation's tax structure back to a fairer "even Steven" basis. That doesn't actually get support of either side. But it should. So to those stumping the "Punish the wealthy" claim, you are wrong, 18% is 18%. None of us deserve to keep more because we simply make more. Who ever thought that silly idea up didn't have 300,000,000 siblings to fight over the last raisin cookie. It's all about percentages, try not to forget that. Which ever candidate comes up with a workable fairer percentage, gets the cookie.

God bless.
