Muscatine

Have you guys read the "Letters to editor" section on the Muscatine Journal webpage about a child's bike being ripped off?

I am so sick and tired of the theiving in Muscatine! It seems like if you don't bolt it down, it will be stold. (Is stold a word? heehee) I have had these items stolen out of my garage: fishing poles, tackle boxes, air conditioner, tools, and other misc. items.

This year, I had my fishing poles stolen off my front porch! It is just getting really sickening lately in this town. One poster had written to the woman who's child's bike was ripped off that she write her name on it the next time. I have used permanent marker on all my valuebles.....I write my name on all my crap....but it still gets taken. Another poster recommended that she close up her garage......mine was when the items were taken.

I have so many stories about my crap getting ripped off and I don't think it's a matter of keeping it under lock and key and barbed wire and survelance(sp) cameras......it's a matter of how the pukes who steal it are raised.

And Buddy, look around you.....It AIN'T gonna get NOTHING but worse!  My 15 year old grand daughter is "It's ALL about ME".  My 12 year old goes to West, and there's a MAJOR altercation in the halls at LEAST once a week.  Last week a kid had 2 boys hold him down, while a 3rd kicked his ribs in (put him in the hospital).  I'm sorry, but, I don't think that this generation of parents should be allowed to have kids (for the most part).  We CAN'T control the ones WE have at home, but then, they ARE brought up differently than I was.  Oh well.  Happy Mothers' Day DF.   Tom.

Yes, Tom's right. It can only get worse. There is no easy answer. Any answer will pi$$ off at least half the country. I try to watch farm report every Sunday morn at 6am. The outlook is very bleak. A large amount of land is still unplanted, due to weather. They are talking $400 a barrel oil within a few years or sooner. As one of the speakers said, we will cut our oil usage when our credit cards are maxed out.

If you have been around awhile, it's really depressing to watch our once great country being drug down to third world level. 

The reason kids don't behave now a days is they know they won't get their asses beat like we did when we did not mind. That's whats wrong with them. Now I know all you so called experts on raising children will say we should not hit our kids but think about it.
