I read all the opions and I think if the parents do the job they are suppose to then their children will know  whats right and wrong.I raised 7 kids and the youngest is now 28.Most of the time I raised them without a man around.I can truthfully say I am very proud of them all. When we went in pubic places they knew not to run and to stay by me.Parents need to show more love and less violence.Pay more attention to your kids.Tell them you love them and mean it.The teachers have a hard enough job for what they are paid to teach, they should not have to worry about raising our kids too.If you raise your kids right they will grow up to be good parents  also. Its all about love and showing it.

You are right about the teachers not being paid enough for the jobs they do.  They are challenged every day by rude kids who think they can do anything and don't respect the teachers or the students who know they are at school to learn. I always have said teachers are not paid enough for what they do.  There are alot of GREAT teachers who have the patience of saints!!  I for one couldn't do their job.  I volunteered at a grade school for many years and saw first hand how many kids are disrespectful to the teacher and classmates.  So sad!

Anyone who has kids in school, stop and think if you can do their job.  They deserve a big thanks from parents.

well I dont post here often, but this post was just calling my name. First I heard a song the other day that hit the nail right on the head its called A Diffrent World by Bucky Covingtion take a listen its worth your time. I used to get spanked and never thought I was abused. As far as school I was tought to respect elders and teachers > They had a big a$$ paddel when I was in school. Fist ya got it from the teacher then from the princepiel and got help ya when ya got home And i dont me the paddel but a very firm talking to althought when ya needed  the paddel we got it of course Iam an old crow I, I couldnt think of a better time to be rasised  than in the 50s  we didnt have smart mouths  as bad as today. I as far as parents that say not my kid give me a break I never knew what my kids did when there were out becouse I wasnt there I usually belived some one that told me dirt on my kids and guess 99% of the time it was true. God those were the good old Days . anyone got I maidrite I miss them so much from down home. Still I think Muscatine was the best place to be raised, had the best people. Of course in those neighbors cared about each other.
