OH!!!! I see the difference. The casinos pay Iowa MILLIONS and MILLIONS every year. OF COURSE they should be exempt!! We sure wouldn't want them to lose business just because of the smoking ban.... Surely NO ONE that doesn't smoke EVER goes to the casino. AND SURELY just because you can provide a non smoking area for the slots just 20 feet away can assure I won't get 2nd hand smoke.

Charge everyone that comes into your business 1 penny to be a member. Might call for a quick name jotted down onto a 3x5 card, and an ID, but who cares? Might cost the owner a few more bucks for a private liquor license, (which I'm sure the legislature will up to ungodly amounts to not comply....) But hey? What other choice do they give anyone??? It now becomes a private business, and smoking is allowed...

Get your crap straight... Quit saying one thing, then another later on. Create this *YOUTH CLUB* you so highly tout....I'd like to see it. All it takes is to gotot the Musc Journal, sit down w/ someone, and talk about your plans. So far all I've seen are a few posts here and there.

We own our business, so I would consider it a private business...we pay the taxes, salaries, and insurance...

And...rhi.... it is freedom of choice that gives us rights....we have a right to smoke & you have a right to go to a non-smoking establishment if you are bothered.

AND...I am still waiting for the names of 3 people who have died from SHS.....but see where they worked and the chemicals they have been around.

Sorry, that's just not true.  Every "RIGHT" that Americans enjoy is seated in osme legislative action, be it the US Constituion or a legal decision that confers a "RIGHT" based on an interpretation of an issue by a court, as is the case with abortion.  There was no "RIGHT" to an abortion until a court gave women that right.

SO, again.  please tell me where a persons "RIGHT" to smoke comes from.  Rights give you choices, freedom of choice does not give you rights.
