When the weather got cold & snowy about 7 weeks ago a stray cat came to our house from a abandoned building across the street from us it was bitterly cold & snowing and I felt sorry for it so I fed it some scraps. Well now it sleeps on the porch in an old porch swing and blocks the door when you try to get in or out by trying to rub on you. My wife is handicapped and the cat has almost made her fall a couple times. My wife called the police department and ask that the dog catcher come down to fruitland and get the cat. After the 3rd call he showed up and the cat was laying in the swing. My wife said yep thats the right cat. He grabbed the cat by the back of the neck, the cat screamed and ran off to the building across the street and jumped through a broken window in the building. The dog catcher (I call him dog catcher because he sure can't catch a cat) said he would be back with some live traps to catch the cat & several others that live in the abandoned building, That was 3 weeks ago we're still waiting for his return with the traps. Our tax money pays for this guy??? Am I missing something does this guy only work one day every three weeks?? yes I have a gun & no, i'm not going to shoot it

yep
That guy is piece of work, isn't he?!
My neighbor down the street has a dog in a pen. Many neighbors have called the po-po on him because he fails to properly feed and water the dog. Apparently the dog catcher thinks this dog is fine while it is rotting in a pen in weather over 100% and below freezing temps. I sneak over and feed the dog crushed ice cubes when it is hot and sneak over and feed the dog treats. I have been caught a couple of times and was screamed at to leave his dog alone. I even tried to talk to the guy about taking the dog off his hands, but he seems to like all the attention he is getting from the neighbors and tells me ''no'' in a not so nice way. He has even called the po-po on one of my neighbors for feeding the dog. The dog catcher assures him that the dog is fine. *ie: This large dog is in a small pen and is NEVER, NEVER let out for exercise.
This is not the only case that has do do with the dog catcher behaving badly. There are others.

I t's hard to believe
that this is happening! For crying out loud, how many of us watch Animal Planet, ASPCA?
Can you guys catch the cat & take him to the humane society as a stray? If you can't, would you let me know? I'd be willing to come to your house & take the kitty there myself. It's too cold!
As far as the dog goes... If what you say is true, could you guys take pictures, document the information & then have someone print out a flyer to be distributed among neighbors about the situation? Peer pressure can work! I have no idea if this is legal or not, but if ''your neighbor'' decided to call the police OFTEN enough on the rest of you for trying to take care of this animal, I'd guess that, (at the very least), they would get TIRED of answering His calls & decide to do something about the situation? Could it be brought up at a council meeting? Again, these ideas may be illegal or improper. That poor puppy needs someone to stand up for him. So does that sweet cat.
God bless both of you for caring for these animals.

First off, if you even try to take care for a stray and take it to the humane society, they will charge you for dropping off the animal (I think that is why we have so many neglected strays in this town).
Second of all, nobody likes to start a stink with their neighbors. Besides, the po-po (dog catcher) has been called on this dog so many times and they don't do anything about it.
Oh, but you might think that Drunkenfool doesn't care enough. Well, mind you that I have already taken 3 animals off the hand of this same neighbor and found good homes for the pets. He just will not relent on the dog in the pen. (They have: ''Oh you are so cute when you are a puppy/kitten, but when you get older I will throw you outside syndrome''.)
Also, the dog catcher can only get tired of calls, if he actually acts on them in a TIMELY manner.
Private to Tlou: The more you post, the more I am actually starting to like you. Biatch. haha
