Residents, organizations, and neighborhood associations of Roseville are being invited by the RCONA “Traffic Task Force” to submit proposals for solving the city’s growing traffic congestion problems. Proposals can range from recommendations that deal with the city-wide problem or congestion at a specific intersection or street or strategies such as promoting mass transit, bicycle lanes or new policies the city might undertake regarding housing development, rezoning or developer fees.
“Any idea is welcome as long as it’s practical and would make a significant contribution to solving our traffic congestion problem,” says Ray Giles, chair of the task force. “Every proposal submitted will be considered.”
Proposals should identify the problem that needs to be addressed, describe a proposed solution, identify potential funding sources, be written on two pages or less, and emailed to Giles at rygiles@aol.com. The deadline for submitting proposals is March 13, 2003 and should include the name and phone number of the person responsible. I would appreciate a copy to facilitate effective follow up.
