FLAG FLYING SERVICE

Neighborhood Boy Scout Troop sponsors service

I am sending this message to neighborhood and homeowner associations in Lake Oswego on behalf of the Our Lady of the Lake BSA Troop 230 here in Lake Oswego. Troop 230 is beginning a new fundraiser this spring. Our fundraiser is called: “Troop 230 Flags For Home”. Scouts from Troop 230 will put up and remove a 10ft flag pole with a 3-ft X 5-ft embroidered made United States Flag on homeowner’s lawns, on each of the four summer US Flag Holidays. Those days are Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th and Labor Day. The cost for the individual flag service for each season is $30.



The purpose of this note is to introduce the “Troop 230 Flags For Home” fundraiser to neighborhood and homeowner associations in Lake Oswego. An association could participate in two ways:



· First, you could choose to purchase the service on behalf of the association and locate the flags in common areas etc. Pricing for multiple purchases is: 9 or less flags, $30 each / 10 to 19 flags, $25 each / 20 or more flags, $20 each.

· Second, if you choose not to purchase as an association, you could help Troop 230 educate your association members about “Troop 230 Flags For Home”.



Troop 230 will also be selling the service at the Lake Oswego Farmers Market, starting on May 14th. The funds raised will support Troop activities including, community service projects, Scouting activities and Summer Camp for 75 Scouts.
