Young Hearts Theatre 2024 Summer Production

Young Hearts Theatre invites you to attend the 2024 Summer Production, The Church at Hidden Creek, written and directed by Carol Fessler, and music and choreography directed by Willa Fougnie.

Performances are Thursday through Sunday, August 8-11, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at Ursuline Arts Center, 3113 Lexington Rd, Louisville KY 40206.

The theatre entrance/exit has convenient handicapped access and a drop-off point for those requiring assistance, along with ample nearby parking.

Auditions for productions are held at Hikes Point Christian Church, 2601 Hikes Lane, Louisville, KY 40218, for those age 60 years of age or older.

Please come prepared to sing a 16 measure piece of up-tempo music, accompanied by either an audio track on a CD, or a music score marked for the 16 measures to be played by our accompanist.

Please be encouraged to join us, as we need not only singers and actors, we also need backstage helpers and front of house support. 

Young Hearts Theatre, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 1979 by Eloise Terry, a former WHAS-TV performer. Young Hearts is designed to provide retired professional and non-professional performers the opportunity to contribute to the Kentuckiana Community and satisfy their desire to remain active in the performing arts. 

As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, Young Hearts will never charge for any of their shows, but tax-deductible donations are always heartily welcomed. To join Young Hearts Theatre you must be age 60 years of age or older and must audition at the published audition date prior to rehearsals for the show. 

Singers, actors, dancers, and back-stage helpers are always needed. Young Hearts produces two major original shows each year (a Spring and a Fall Show) as well as performing "Mini-Shows" for various clubs, organizations, assisted living and nursing facilities between their productions.
