Neighborhood Councils are self-governed, self-directed and independent entities that will provide input to City officials on neighborhood and Citywide issues. In accordance with the new City Charter, the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE) is supporting community efforts to form neighborhood councils.
Our local neighborhood council will be designed by the community members who participate in the process, some of whom are already involved in neighborhood campaigns and many of whom are new to local activism.
