Just a note to let y'all know that I have finally found a house to my liking.  Unless something unforeseen came down preventing us from getting this house, it's 99% for sure and Closing will be near the end of March 09.  I will try to keep my girl going to Sutton Elementary until the end of this school year.  We will be moving back and forth between the 2 locations and I will be very busy fixing up my condo and arranging the new house.

With that said, I will not be able to fulfill many of my duties as a board member even though I'm still qualified to be on the board as I'm still an owner.  I will put my unit for rent or for sale later if I could find a good offer.

For now, I will not resign however, unless the current board members found someone to replace me or just ask me to resign.  The reason I want to remain on board is because I still want to participate in critical votes for SPW.  I will also want to actively participate in choosing my replacement or another board member's placement.  I know Casey also wants out and maybe Sam too.  We all are serving beyond our terms but unless we find qualified board members (previous bad board members need not apply), we will have confidence and will leave SPW businesses in their hands.  If no one is found and no quorum on annual voting, then it's better to have a Board President, a Vice President and leave the rest of the positions vacant.  It's still better than filling the positions with bad board members.  Randall Management is capable of performing day to day maintenance businesses and all minor repairs.

SPW is in good shape.  The major rehabs have shown that our complex stood up through hurricane IKE.  For future rehabs I could see some roofs and some foundation repairs.  Pay-as-you go is the way future boards must take.  We could do it so there is no other reason to do it differently.

Again I'm appealing for my Treasurer position's replacement.  If you could manage a website (with my help), could answer a few emails, read a financial statement, take a meeting minutes, please offer your service to SPW.  Most of the time you don't have to do anything.  Just attend monthly meeting for one hour and that's about it.  Oh and put up with complaints from a few individuals who knew about SPW rules & regulations.  There are some hard-headed violators out there who would not mind spending money to retrieve their cars. Eventually those violations would have to be corrected but it would not harm anyone overnight.  If you are interested, email me or come to our next board meeting.

I knew it would come down to this. Thanks for everything you did for us.  Keep in touch with us through this website and enjoy your new home. Congrats!

For all that you've done, we will miss ya.  Are you going to put your condo for lease soon?  I might know someone who would be interested. Thanks

At first we were going to put it for lease but it looks like we will try to help a relative in financial need.  We will give him the cost of a one bedroom lease and will see how it will work out.
