SHARE is a national food cooperative that emphasizes shared resources and giving back to the community. For $15 (payable in cash or $14 food stamps and $1 cash) and two hours of community service, participants get a high-quality 20-25 pound food package worth $25-30.
SHARE is not a charity, or a government program. It is a partnership of the entire community. It promotes human self-respect and dignity by putting to use all that people have to offer in terms of time, talents, money, goods and services.
