Walter what I said was ''I don't think he posted his home number for just the people who know him to call.'' Meaning I believe he is encouraging EVERYONE to call him - NOT just those whom he knows! Someone in a prior posting said they didn't know him well enough to call him.
HIS HOME NUMBER IS ON HIS WEB SITE. Maybe he's changed it since the election but I'm sure that was it back in Oct/Nov.
My reference to the dummy email account is for all the people out here who think someone is going to get them if they leave the slighest hint as to who they are.
And as far as your question goes ''What is the different of just using our first names here on this web site posting? ''
There is a HUGE difference - in sending a personal email to someone it at least appears that you are taking the time to contact the person directly vs putting something out in a public forum and expecting that he/she might see it and respond to a bunch of faceless, nameless beings.
I don't want you to waste your time Walter but in the time you've spent posting here you could have sent him 5 emails requesting greater information about what it is that you seek.
In fact - here's a small letter you can start with. email it to jim@jimbrink.org

Mr. Brink, my name is Walter and I'm concerned about your comments in the newspaper about not hanging our hats on state testing. It seems as though you believe that special needs children will bring these scores down but isn't their education as important as everyone elses? I'm concerned that other schools have been able to maintain 'excellent' ratings from the state when Pickerington's rating dropped, and you think it will be almost impossible to return to 'excellence' in our school district. Could you please clarify your comments for me? I look forward to future correspondence with you.
Thank you - Walter.

Who knows - maybe he'll even do something off the wall and actually respond and you can take it from there?
