I look forward to the current and continuing improvement in weather but it also has a huge drawback as well.  Dogs barking ALL OF THE TIME.

I don't know how these dog owners ignore their own dogs, but I certainly can't.

For the past two months my neighbors have tied their dog to the side steps of their deck (which is right under my bedroom window basically) every morning between 7am and 8:30am.  I have been woken up by the sound of "bark bark bark breathe bark bark bark breathe" so many times in a row, I have honestly thought about hurting the poor dog I get so mad.

I know it's not the dogs fault.  Either it hasn't been properly trained or it doesn't want to be out there, whatever.  But I have a chronic illness and my sleep is of the utmost importance to my not being in severe pain all day.

So I pose a question to you, my fellow residents.  These neighbors are a family with three or four kids.  They have always been good neighbors.  We say hello, but keep to ourselves otherwise.  Should I go to their door and just tell them that I cannot handle dog barking that early and ask them to wait until at least 9am to put their dog out?  What if they get offending and then suddenly good neighbors become enemies and then the dog gets put out even earlier?!?!

Dog owners, please remember that as much as you love your dog, no one else really cares and the noise level of such a pet effects all of the neighbors around you and mostly not in a good way.
