Welcome

Northwood ARTSpace, a non-profit gallery space for University District neighbors and artists opened in January 1997 in the community meeting room 100 at 2231 N. High Street.

A project of the University District Organization's Center for Civic Values, Northwood ARTSpace provides fine art in various forms for the community. It also provides a venue for fine artists who live in the District, and others who have ties to the area.

In January 1999, ARTSpace sponsored a county wide competition with Dennison Griffith as the juror and support from the Greater Columbus Arts Council and our neighbors. The next county wide competition will be in 2001. A District-wide competition is planned for November/December of this year.

This past April 4 it co-sponsored with the Institute for the Arts in Education at OSU, the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Women's Poetry Workshop. ARTSpace hosted the celebration and printed the 27 page booklet, ''Write On''.

For more information please call Amanda Runyon Lynch at UDO, 294-5113 or Dianne Efsic, director at 299-5189.
