This exhibit is the first public showing of paintings for Casey, who is a performance artist well known to Rhode Island audiences for her troubadour vocalist style as she entertained at locations such as The Biltmore Hotel, the SideBar, the Promenade, and other venues. Casey, originally from Vermont, lived in New York City for 15 years, and has now returned to Rhode Island. She will be working on a new live interview show, "The Voiceless", giving a voice to the disenfranchised. She has a BA in Theater from UVM, an MFA from Florida State University and studied acting with Sanford Meisner and Tim Philips in NYC. She was a fellow at the Breadloaf Writers Conference at Middlebury College and also at the Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Symposium. She is an Equity actress and has performed as a jazz singer, performing in cabaret and word installations. Casey will be performing an original art installation at this exhibit.
