The National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention
Event: Don't Fry Day
When: Friday before Memorial Day weekend. Falling on May 22nd this year, this campaign seeks to advance awareness of skin cancer prevention.
As a member of the Council, CDC invites you to visit the Council's web site at www.skincancerprevention.org to view the current Don't Fry Day resources and information. The Council is still creating resources and will post them on the web site as soon as they are available. Most of the resources on the web site are posted in both "word" and "pdf" formats. The "word" format allows you to customize the document by adding your own logo and local information.
We encourage you to consider using the resources. The Council has sent a long-lead press release to more than 100 magazines informing them of the Council's campaign. In mid-May, a short-lead press release will be sent to newspapers, meteorologists, and television and radio stations.
