OAKHILL NEWS 9/16/12 Projo

Crime heading lower or higher- as YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE! We do it together with your eyes and ears for prevention & the the police checking out the clues for arrests and prevention support.

We still have some crime incidents especially autos.  Note that unlocked cars and doors in cars & homes are the target of thieves, so call the police if you see anything suspicious.

Pawtucket Nite Out in 2010 was a blast with a parade, party and basketball game with the police and youth and lots of information for you. Bike Decorating Contest a winner with Alex and Chris for some kids and grandkids! Thanks to EastSide Eden was just one of the Parade Pictures taken.
Plainclothes police are still cruising and more arrests are made along with the scamming pavement contractors & magazine sellers chased out of the area. Remember the rules are they have to have a city clerk issued permit to wear with picture. If in doubt - Call the police as they welcome calls to prevent crimes with your eyes and ears to help us all.

Also watch your recycles as some of the same recycle thieves may also be watching your car and house for possible invasions.

Thanks again for your help in the past and recently for our participation again in the coat drive for the Warm a Heart Buy Nothing Coats for needy neighbors affected by the recession and layoffs.

Yes, we will collect again for 2013 for the Warm Hearts Coat Giveaway after Thanksgiving on the 29th of Nov. 2013.

We welcome volunteers for all areas or your new ideas.

Our emergency meetings in the past-
Crime and traffic situations were addressed and answers to the spike and solutions shared.
Better communications on the facts and the dispositions of crimes are planned so we will be reporting some of that here on the website and the emails.
If you are not on the email list- email Arthur  and we will add you to the weekly updates, but the website and calendar are updated daily or more frequently as needed.
Questions or solutions, volunteering, I am available to assist- Thanks Arthur Plitt

Note that on the website are some tips for helping your security from various sources.

The Moral : We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath..

Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles ~ A fresh pot of coffee you didn't make yourself...An unexpected phone call from an old
friend...Green stoplights on your way to work...The fastest line at the grocery store...A good sing-along song on the radio...Your keys found right where you left them.
