"There are some which are making gobs of money and can pay a little in taxes without raising prices."

You don't get it.   They don't pay a little in taxes without raising prices (or using one or more of the other alternatives I indicated).  They just don't do it.  The consumer/worker ends up bearing the burden.  Try to get that in your thick skull.

JC and Hiroad....you are trying to reason with a numbskull.  It brings to mind the old "teaching a pig to sing" analogy.

You are so correct BB, I hadn't forgetten, just my thinking that if we keep trying to insert some logic that it will stick. I remember hearing that if a person does not reach their decisions about a situation thru logic that no matter how much logic you use it won't work. I think that must be the case with this household, or else there is nothing in those skulls.

If they understand this, then they are disingenuous when they say they want to tax the corporations.  What they really mean is they want place the burden on the wage earner, the consumer, the working man.  Because, if they understand this, then they also understand that that is what they are really doing.  Lyinghypocrits, just like always.

You conservatives seem always to take the narrow, simplistic approach. All corporations are not alike. There are some which are making gobs of money and can pay a little in taxes without raising prices. There are some of those who can’t raise prices because of competition and will have to settle for lower profits. There are some which provide services or products which I (or you, perhaps) don’t use. For example, those who drink fine whiskey or wear fine jewelry can pay any taxes passed on to them, but this "working man" won’t.

Wonder where you got this info but it clearly illustrates that you/libs do NOT understand the principles that hiroad outlined. Those who drink fine whiskey or wear fine jewelry are still consumers, wage earners or working persons. Many corporations would be forced to pay more taxes and then would not expand their businesses (hire more workers that spend those earnings and pay more taxes). Please share the link for your info unless you are that "working man" that you cited.

You are too hung up on the conservative gospel for me or anyone to explain this to you.

There is no link from me, same as you.
