Good morning Mort.
Finally a soul near my own age! Forgive my liberties with shortening your name. In fully understanding one's frustration over being goaded into text conversations where the antagonist is clearly wrong, and refuses to take the slightest initiative to admit it. I suppose then we can only go forward. I have been assailed for being deliberately centrist, not hiding behind one party or the other so often now, it's like a being trapped on a playground with some kids who refuse to accept that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, though it is clearly a fact. My husband didn't go to Korea due to loss of vision in one eye in a boiler accident, but certainly would have, had he been able. I'm happy you made it back safely and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY! We have two nephews that went to Vietnam. They both made it home but one didn't get back so well and the other, well he's gone now due to an accident on the mississippi in the late seventies.
We can get so frustrated when we absolutely know, especially when presenting documented history, that we are told "you are wrong." Foolishness is about all it could be. I laid out an accurate two and a third century's history of our political past and war history, from a "strange source," MY EDUCATION and a little aid from my husband and lots and lots of scrapbook support. But, I'm maligned and called names as a result, but you know , not once have either of these little boys offered the slightest scrap of evidence to the contrary. I was even told by this "Max" fellow (has to be a fellow) that I should go look for the "Wizard along the Yellow Brick Road and Big Foot" Kinda funny actually, but what's the point? It's irrelevant among all the real issues folks care about. I was accused of being someone else who writes in a similar fashion, even now I suppose. But it's another day as it were.
I'm a fairly happy person and easy going in my old age, but like anyone else, I can feel needlessly tested at times and can spit some venom as well. Not often, but it can come. The majority of folks here are so nice, and so clearly understand how we in our society should conduct ourselves, and those playground bullies that don't? Well they have a place among the species too, just as fleas need dogs and cats. So there it is, we suffer at times for our perspective and like any other wound, we dress it and let it heal, "getting back upon that horse."
Happy to speak with you. Rosy.
God Bless.
