Mr. Finger....I feel we could avoid confusion in the future by referring to you simply as "Old Sticky Sheets". Glad that laundry bill is under control. I'm sure you're comforted by the fact that the chosen one still thinks your definition of humor has merit. Humor is an acquired taste, I suppose. I was also rather hoping that you wouldn't try to get all serious on us and keep gracing us with more stories of your nightly emissions. That does seem to be a recurring theme. Perhaps you could include, for the sake of the chosen one, even more descriptions of bodily functions. There's some fun! As for your attempt at seriously discussing the political arena, without the aid of your fantasy-driven contributions, I don't recall stating here which candidate I support. Apparently you somehow know.....must be connected to that fantasy land in some way. Can I cure the woes of a nation without bashing the Democrats? Heck no....can't do it without bashing the Republicans either. Can you? Do you know how I'll vote, or just we just take your word for it?

Hi. Reactionary, foolish, mindless, hapless, egocentric, bullys, the dychotomous frap that ran this country under Nixon/Ford-Ford then enter Hapless Carter, who didn't stand a chance under the new globalization mentality, scandal and budgetary constraints and the first Major Energy Crisis, left over after Nixon and Ford. Do you recall the 55 MPH to save gas? 50-60 cents a gallon? China alert? Yup, Democrats took over with a slim majority (again) and then gained for one term, a 2/3 majority under Reagan/Bush then GHW Bush thet took it back the second mid-term. Then Clinton came along to pick up the peices and take the blame and now GW with most of his years in total control. You do understand that while there is a tiny 35 vote majority in congress, the oposition party that controls whe white house, actually controls congressional strength, while the slim majority do not have over-riding power? So in truth though they have a small majority but not in a real sense. Especially when the repubs walked out on votes they felt wasn't best for coprorate America and then watch every bill sent to the oval office get a VETO since 2007. but those GW really wanted and cried to get he passed. That didn't occur once under GW from 2000 to 2007, while the Repubs controlled congress from 1993 to 2007 this government went totally out of control. Call a spade a spade. Then scrub the black off your pots. I get so frustrated when I hear or read that people see the results at the surface but truly do not understand the mechanisms beneath that give it that reflective tint of guilt. We play the game of refraction to a fualt. We, most anyway, tend get mired down in the what seems to be, best for all but not any one- refrain, so we can point the finger at the ones grandad didn't vote for. Dems this Repubs that. For once I'd like the electorate to open a book, understand the conststitutionality of the strengths of congress before, during and after each election. It's true I tought economics not US history or Government. But considering how importamt both are especially in our time, I was well versed at them all. It does me nor anyone else any good to belittle or deride anyone who obviously is offering a reactionary response to a MEGA COMPLEX system. We walk into Wal Mart and see that the price of a pound of Munster has gone up 15% in one week. The sad fact is that the rate increse really isn't the issue. The issue is that the only thing you can do about it, should you truly need that cheese, is how you can afford to pay it. The plethora of elements involved, especially today, that caused that hike in price are sorely understood by most and go back to those economic priciples we loosely founded them upon in the late sixties. Meaning that, once we got the taste for mega profits and outsourcing our jobs away, the elctorate fell for the scam as did our representatives through huge donations and favors. Thus we have today that robbing of the consumer under supply-side economics where the richest get richer and richer until one day unemployment(not under Clinton literally rose to new hights, but Reagan/ Bush globalization literally set that stage.) rises to pre a level similar to the then post depression numbers. In 1930 there were 4.3 million unemployed. 1931 it rose to 8 million and then in 1932 it rose to 12 million. Today we suffer a population nearly twice what it was in 1932. We are at over 6% not counting the previous 9% no longer counted as unemployed by a faulty system that likes to fudge numbers. (mind you GW says we are not in a recession and the core of our economy is strong) Going to websites and quoting pundidts tend to throw you curveballs. Just as there were eight major enegry votes this year alone, missed by McCain. One he even sat in his office and refused to go vote. The core of the bills? cutting corporate tax giveaways to oil and auto industries while giving real funding and tax breaks to Americans and researchers for alternative enegry.........all eight of them. The tactic, not voting isn't voting in favor of or against. So we can state our record clearly. "I didn't vote against alternative enegry and to the right crowd, I didn't vote to cut your subsidies." Mission accomplished. But fairly, they tend to pull that tactic on both sides. It's obvious who you and many other might vote for the 4th but in all sincerity, I don't think they know why. Like grandad always said. "Rosebud! They're mostly all crooks, but you just have to go for the one who might slap you, but won't kick you below the belt." |
