Hang in there Kenn. Keep it positive.

I enjoy cooking (and do most of it) but I'm a long way from a "Chef" if you know what I mean.

Try this:

Par (?) boil some baby potatoes with the skins cleaned and left on. Then deep fat fry them for a few minutes.

Almost flaky (the skins). Salt, pepper, season as you wish. Leave whole or mash up on your plate.

This is delicious with sweet corn, green beans, and a side leafy salad fresh from the Garden.

Come on tomatoes!!!!!                              Maybe this next week for mine.

Enjoy!

2 cans Van Camp pork & beans, drained

1 or 2 cans kidney beans, drained

1 can mushrooms, drained

1/2 a medium onion diced

Heinz ketchup

Bar B Q sauce (Sweetbaby Ray Hickory)

Yellow mustard

Splash of hot sauce (Tabisco type)

Splash of Worechester

Garlic powder

Brown sugar, 1 cup (?)

Mix every thing together, bake, stir, bake, stir for a couple hours. 300degrees. Adjust amounts to personal taste.

or

Micro 5 minutes let set for 10minutes, stir and micro again.

Do this several times till heated thru. The longer it sets the better the flavor. Like chili it's best the next day upon reheating.

This will be fairly thick not runny like some I've had.

I have also added a shot or two of Southern Comfort to the mix for some extra zing.
