Couple of questions for winger

and no I am not taking it personal. How many times do you see the Muscatine Chief of Police out assisting his officers? How does the salary of the Chief and the Sheriff compare? How amny officers do each supervise? How big a Jail does the City have? What are the responsibilities of each and how do they compare? I suggest you do a little research and find the answers. You will be suprised at the answers you get. The Sheriffs salary is totally justified.

As far as buying locally...how much of a tax increase are you willing to have if they follow thru with that? I would suggest that the best price they can get is the best policy.

Except that the Sheriff

isn't qualified to be the Police Chief, because he can't meet the requirements, but the Police Chief is qualified to be the Sheriff, so Herman your argument means what? Nothing as I see it.
