HOLIDAY

DECORATED HOME WINNER

Congratulations to: Anthony & Judith Stewart at 5307 Whitewater Pass, chosen by a majority of the votes cast by the Association homeowners as having the most decorated home.  A check in the amount of $25.00 has been delivered.  Thanks to all who made our Addition appear more festive this year.

TRIVIA CONTEST WINNER

Congratulations to Jan Dager who correctly answered the question:

How Many Colors In A Rainbow:

  The answer is:  7.

5 residents submitted the correct answer and President Deb Ross drew the winner.  BIG THANKS to all who participated.  The $10 Bandido’s Restaurant Gift Card has been delivered.

Topics Discussed at Last Quarterly Meeting

  • Whitewater Pass now has a “No Parking” sign by the corner at River Run Trail.
  • Households needing sidewalk repair should contact the City.
  • Information for new directory has been gathered and is ready for proof reading.  Mike Elko will finalize the directory.
  • New electrical outlet installed at base of entrance sign courtesy of Matt Dager and his brother.
  • Snow plowing will be completed by same person as last year.
  • Recycling in big bins starts January 1st.  All residents are encouraged to participate.
  • Matt Dager spoke about neighborhood watch program.
  • Dogs are still running loose in our neighborhood.
  • Reminder for all to vote for favorite Holiday decorated home.

14 households attended. Your support is appreciated.

A BIG THANK YOU to Dave and Nicole Berg, Stuart Engler and Emily Simpson for once again doing the hot dogs and drinks for the ghosts and goblins who were roaming our streets on Halloween night.   These couples look forward to doing this as much, if not more, than the ones who stop by for snacks.  You four are just fantastic!!

Once again, the Board is reminding our residents that pets must be on a leash or fenced in if they are outside.  City Ordinance requires that pets not be allowed to run freely.  ALSO, if you are walking your dog, PLEASE be considerate of your neighbors and carry a “clean up” bag to collect your doggie’s evidence of a visit.

TRIVIA QUESTION

Okay, let’s try another trivia question –

What do you study if you pursue graphology?

You could win a $10.00 Gift Card from BANDIDO’s, RESTAURANT in Northcrest Shopping Center. Deadline to submit answers is midnight, March 21st. Winner will be drawn on March 25th. Send your answer via e-mail to nslawrence5323@comcast.net (be sure to put “Woodlands Trivia Answer” in the subject line), or drop off your entry at 5323 Inland Trail.  Include your name, address and phone number with your answer.  Winner will be notified by phone prior to March 31st, and announced in our next newsletter.   ONE ENTRY PER HOUSEHOLD PLEASE“You can’t win if you don’t get in!!!”

WHEN IT SNOWS …

The Board reminds all residents that plowing of snow in our Addition is a service provided to our residents and paid for out of our annual dues.  Please remove your vehicles from the street when 3” or more of snow is in the forecast.  This will prevent your vehicle from being “plowed in”.  ALSO PLEASE NOTE, your sidewalks should be cleared of snow.  If someone falls due to ice or snow on your walkway, you can be held legally responsible.  Sidewalk shoveling by kids in our Addition is available for a nominal fee.  See “NEED HELP” Section on page 4.  Thank you.

We extend a warm welcome to our newest residents Bethany Wyatt and her fiancé, Todd, at 1522 River Run Court.  Please feel free to contact a Board Member – or your Block Captain if you have questions regarding procedures, trash pickup, etc.

If someone new has moved into your neighborhood, please contact a board member so the newsletter can issue a “formal” welcome to our Addition.  Thank you.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

A PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE BY-LAWS

Article V, Section A – now reads as follows:

To prepare an annual budget, which shall include, but not be limited to, all income received and all estimated expenditures for the upcoming year.  A copy of the budget will be distributed to the members at the annual meeting in January.

THE PROPOSED CHANGE WILL READ AS FOLLOWS:

To prepare an annual budget and, if deemed necessary or appropriate, propose any expenditure of funds allocated by the budget as part of the Savings Fund or Project Fund.  The budget shall include, but not be limited to, all income received and all estimated expenditures for the upcoming year and will include allocation of the revenue among the Budgeted Fund, a Savings Fund, and a Project Fund.  A copy of the proposed budget will be distributed to the members at the annual meeting in January and must be approved by a vote of the association membership as outlined in Article IV, Meetings, Section E.  Any proposed expenditure from the Savings Fund and/or Project Fund shall also be approved by a vote of the association membership as outlined in Article IV, Meetings, Section E.

The purpose of the change is to insure that the membership - not just the Board - decides how the monies are spent from the Savings Fund and Project Fund.  It is also important to remember that there must be a minimum of 14 homes represented at a designated association meeting to vote on any agenda items identified for that meeting.
