4/13/2017: The City of Schertz contacted us Tues afternoon to say that a complaint (dated 4/11/2017-Tue) had just been filed against the pool. The interesting part is that we had our Annual HOA Meeting, but no one made mention of it--or else it would have taken over the topic covered under facilities. The complainant informed the city that people were getting shocked when using our community pool. As a result, the city has closed the pool down until an investigation can be conducted into the complaint. The pool has been closed since September 6th 2016 (end of last season) and two weeks ago water was removed to replace a couple skimmers, light bulbs and water jets. The HOA filed an open records request to obtain information regarding the complaint. The complaint was pretty generic (see pic). We had over 2700 people come in to our pool last summer and not one complaint (about electrical shocks) came in. We still plan to open the pool but could be delayed a little. We can't fill the pool until we finish the repairs early next week and when the inspectors come out to perform their inspections of the pool/electrical system. It will take a little time to refill the 180K gallon pool. We'll get the word out as soon as we know.
