Sew n’ Sew Quilters Group (Clubhouse)

When we mention that we make quilts, the response is almost always admiration “that’s so cool!” underscored by confusion, “People still make quilts?”

Quilting is still alive in Woodland Oaks!

We do not limit members to only quilting. Each person brings their own project to work on; crochet knitting or quilting. Variety is the spice of life! At the March meeting there was a hand stitched wool quilt, a traditional quilt, a baby quilt and an Alzheimer’s fidget quilt in progress. Not only do we make items for ourselves, as individuals, we give back to our community at large for the charity of our choice: Wounded Warriors, Quilt4kids, Cancer, Alzheimer’s, SAMMC, Quilts of Valor, and Project Linus to name just a few.

“Do people actually go?” Are you a resident of the community? Interested in spending the day having fun with our group? The hours are 8 am to 4 pm (you decide how long you want to stay). We do break for lunch. We invite you to stop in and visit, see what we’re about; we hope you will want to join.

The group is spearheaded by Mrs. Lana Jensen and is held at 1056 Woodland Oaks Drive (Woodland Oaks HOA Clubhouse).Any questions can be sent to sewcrafty@gmail.com
