- Maintain a flea and tick control program to keep pests from spreading to other units.
- Get your dog a permanent form of identification.
- Keep dogs clean and work to control excessive barking.
- Take your pets to the vets for a checkup — every year.
- Take your dog to obedience school or teach your dog five basic obedience commands: heel, sit, stay, down, and come.
