THE WEEK OF THE FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH

Beginning in November, the new bulky trash system will take place. You will now have 12 chances to get rid of items too heavy or bulky to fit in your garbage cart. The new bulky items pickup will make you life easier- and our city a cleaner place. To find out more call 817-392-EASY (3279)

WHAT: Examples of bulky items include sofas, furniture, mattreses, washers and dryers, water heaters, toliets, carpets and open boxes containing smaller bulky items.

WHAT NOT

Plastic bags (even plastic bags with leaves inside), tires, electronic equipment, batteries, appliances with coolant, computers, televisions, rocks, concrete or debris from construction work won't be picked up from the curb. REMEMBER THE ENVIRONMENTAL ON BRIDGE STREET WILL TAKE THESE ITEMS.

WHEN & HOW MUCH

Pile bulky items at the curb beginning on Saturday before your assigned pickup week by 7:00 am on Monday of your assigned week. Remember if you miss your collection date, you cant ake them to the drop-off stations located at 3224 Yuma and 2500 Brennan Ave. Bring you driver's license or water bill to prove you live in Fort Worth. There is no charge for use.
*Please note: Yuma Location will move to Martin Luther King Freeway in early 2005.

HOW MUCH
Your pile must not exceed 10 cubic yards-about 8 feet long, 6 feet wide and 6 feet tall, roughly the size of a Volkswagon Beetle car. If your pile exceeds 10 cubic yards, you'll be charged extra for collection.
