2016 FESTIVAL IN THE UPPER HIGHLANDS

The Upper Highlands Neighborhood's 12th annual Festival will be held on the front lawn of Atherton High School on Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.  A fun day of entertainment and enjoyment for all ages, including great LIVE MUSIC all day.  Interesting speakers each hour during the music breaks.   (In case of rain, we will move indoors to Atherton's Concourse area.)

This year's festival will again be "picnic" style, with some new food truck offerings--Papa Johns Pizza, Ula Ula Hawaiian Hot Dog Co., Black Rock Grille, The Cookie Cabin, Kona Ice.   We hope you will stop by for some food, fun, and conversation with your neighbors!  (NOTE:  Upper Highlands residents should come to the UHNA table to get a free food voucher--Limited number available.)

There will be plenty of vendors booths and displays for your enjoyment and information.

Great door prizes and various give-aways at several vendor booths!  

There will be games and fun! 

Free Face Painting

Petting Zoo – always a favorite event.

NEW!! John the Balloon Guy sharing his amazing balloon creations.

The popular costumed Mascots will be back (Louisville League of Mascots) to entertain and provide many photo ops.

All new music this year!  Live music will entertain you all day with a variety popular music you are sure to enjoy! 

Scheduled speakers at music breaks:

  • Noon - Limbwalker Tree Service (trees in our environment)
  • 1:00 - Rainbow Blossom (healthy living)
  • 2:00 -  8th District Councilman-elect Brandon Coan

Community Interest groups including: 

Metro Public Works with free recycle bins and batteries recycling

Police and Fire Department exhibits -- Fire Truck. (Police will again make ID's for your children.)

LMPD will collect your old drugs for proper disposal.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be there again this year for willing donors. 

Voter Registration.

Metro Louisville Recycling program.

Document Shredding vouchers available for UH residents at the UHNA booth.

Renew your membership in UHNA at the Festival, and you also will be eligible to win your very own large recycling can (a $50 value).
