Does anyone know how or when they have elections to become a member of the HOA?  I would really like to run or have my husband run.  There need to be some changes around here that I don't know if they are getting address properly.  I know parking is the biggest issue for everyone as it is for myself.  I can understand the purpose of an HOA and that's why we moved to an HOA neighborhood because we wanted to make sure that it stayed looking nice.  But I didn't realize the extent that they would go to.  I can understand if you are parking an oversized vehicle or a broken down car in front of your house but just to have a guest over.  I know everyone is complaining about it so I want to try and do something about it. 

Any ideas?

The elections are in November I believe.  Attemnd the sept or October meeting and I'm sure you can find out.  They went through a parking committee for about a year and a half, to try to get the parking rules changed, and they more or less stonewalled any REAL change because there was not over whelming support for changing the parking rules. 

     I put a lot of effort and delivered a flyer to every household, but since most people have only two cars and can park them off the street they don't care.  The inertia of lethargic people is almost impossible to get past.
