The following information on crimes within SWCA boundaries, was taken from the SAPD website.
- Violent Crimes (VC) - Forcible Rape?—War Cloud; Aggravated Assault?—Balboa Port, Broken Lance, Farr, Five Palms, Ocean Side, Old Pearsall Rd. Another 10 VCs were committed in the SAPD service area just north of us.
- Thefts (T), when the victim(s) and the criminal(s) are there when the crime is taking place?—Balboa Port, Creek Bend, Emerald Port, Five Palms (2), Gray Buffalo, Great Spirit, Old Pearsall Rd (13), Old Sky Harbor, Painted Tepee, Sagamore (2), Sweet Maiden, Young Bear, & War Cloud. Another 24 Ts were committed in the service area just north of us.
- Vehicle Thefts (VT), when the entire vehicle is stolen - from Beryl Cove, Ocean Port, Mariner, Standing Rock, & War Cloud. Another 7 vehicles were stolen in the service area just north of us.
- Burglaries (B), when the victim is not there when the crime is taking place?—Crow Wing (2), Emerald Port, Five Palms (6), Hayden, Port of Call, Prairie Flower, Sea Cliff, Sherry, Trading Post & White Star. There were another 28 Bs in the service area just north of us.
- Vehicle Burglaries (VB), when items are taken from a vehicle, but the vehicle remains?—Bowline, Creek Bend, Five Palms (4), Little
Creek (2), Little Squaw, Old Pearsall Rd, Old Sky Harbor, Port Townsend, Port Victoria, Portside, Prairie Flower, Sachem, Smoke Signal, War Horse & Wheelhouse. Another 15 VBs were committed in the service area just north of us.
If you leave the area on vacation, put your mail on hold and have a trusted neighbor watch your home. Summer time is higher crime time. Keep alert for unfamiliar vehicles and people in our area. Write down license numbers of unfamiliar vehicles.
