Biking Rules & Laws

Biking Laws (to help drivers and bikers better deal with the new bike lanes on Pearsall Rd)
- Bicyclists MUST OBEY all traffic signs and signals.
- Bicyclists should ALWAYS ride wearing a helmet and NEVER wearing headphones.
- Bicyclists should NEVER ride against traffic; always in the same direction as motorized traffic.
- Bicyclists should ALWAYS keep both hands ready to brake.
- Bicyclists MUST use LIGHTS at NIGHT. A white headlight, visible from 500 feet ahead and a red rear reflector or taillight visible from 300 feet behind.
- Bicyclists should generally ride single-file when more than one.
