Southwest Community Association

Big Election, Tue, Nov 2nd

Nov 16, 2004

Besides voting for President, Congress, State Legislature, many Judges, Sheriff, County Tax Assessor-Collector and other county officials, we?’ll also be voting on whether or not to approve an additional 1/4-of-a-cent sales tax for VIA?’s Advanced Transportation District. You must be registered to vote at least 30 days prior to the day you actually vote. If questions, call 335-8683.
Early voting runs from Mon, Oct 18?—Fri, Oct 29. The three Early Voting sites closest to our area are: Johnston Branch library, Westlakes Mall & South Park Mall. The specific dates and times for voting, depends on the usual business hours of each facility.
If you don?’t know who all is running, you can go to an Early Voting site and pick up a Sample Ballot to take home with you and study. You can also get the Sample Ballot by going to the County?’s website.
To help you study the candidates & issues, The League of Women Voters will again publish an unbiased newspaper to compare them. Those newspapers are FREE and will be available at all public library branches a few days before the start of Early Voting.
