1. To promote and oversee the development of a comprehensive, coordinated and effective system of services.
2. To seek alternatives to premature institutionalization through support of programs which assist seniors and dependent adults to live with dignity and with a level of support to match their needs.
3. To educate individuals, groups and organizations to the needs and concerns of seniors and dependent adults for the purpose of increasing their responsiveness to those needs.
4. To take a leadership role in advising the Board of Supervisors about the changing and future needs of seniors and dependent adults in Sacramento County.
