What is your take on the new contract?

If it's from Chesapeake, don't sign anything.  Otherwise you will be linked into a contract that lasts for years and you will only get $100-150 as a "bonus".  We worked a better deal for everyone a few years ago when the gas industry was signing a lot of leases, right now the cost of natural gas isn't profitable for them to compete for signatures.  Many people got $1000+ signing bonus with a different company other than C-Peake.  Keep in mind that royalties will be roughly less than $20 for the year, so don't fall for the royalties argument either.  My opinion.

Do you know of anyone who has been paid any royalties? I've never seen any. I just saw a piece on the news where companies are purposly holding payments back.
