Well, my husband just told me that he saw the dog yesterday - Oct 1st.  So, I guess I just have missed it when I drive by.  It must be getting its food and water from somewhere because it doesn't look to be starving or ill.  Anyway, I guess it's out of our hands.  I'm not really sure what can be done.  I was hoping that if I posted this the owners might see it and come look for the dog.

I have a feeling he has no owner. I think he was dumped. I wish people would surrender their dogs to a non-kill shelter instead of letting them fend for themselves.

This dog will now face the cold weather. At least, during the summer, it can keep cool by hiding in the brush or shrubs. The winter months offer no warm shelter for a dog that is living on its own like this poor little guy. This will probably be a colder winter. If anyone has any ideas, let us know.

By the way, my neighbor called Ft. Worth Animal Control. They told him that he could go get the trap from them and set it up himself. When the dog was trapped, he needed to call them, and they would come get the dog. This doesn't sound right but one never knows.

Dear Hearts, I have good news for y'all regarding the black and white dog. It is safe and now has a wonderful home. Ive been feeding it everyday -I and another Neighbor and his wife left the bowls there and have been feeding it. It took about 3 months to catch that sweet dog. I must say that Ft Worth Animal Control worked hand in hand with me and the Rescue Group I found to lovingly foster him. The Animal Control people themselves wanted to help this dog, they too knew he was sweet but hard to catch and the danger Of crossing and sometimes sitting in Trinity Blvd The rescue was hard, I asked advice of 3 experienced Rescue Groups and a neighbor who is very experienced. It was Ft Worth Animal Control that got him, gave him his shots, checked for heart worms and turned him over to a herding dog rescue group. I always Check on him ; a couple of nights ago he was sleeping in bed with his foster Mommie !! He is still a little shy but so gentle and sweet- they are Working with him. Your prayers were answered. I am so grateful
