Raleigh Action Committee

Welcome to the Raleigh Action Committee

Raleigh is traditionally a family oriented, safe and American proud community. The diverse culture of blacks, whites, hispanics, and Asians make Raleigh a superb melting pot of new ideas and new friends. We in Raleigh take pride in our lawns, homes, and streets. Without concerned citizens like yourself, Raleigh would not be where it is today. Raleigh has such an influence on other communities, our name has become frequently used to describe other neighborhoods. Two examples are Raleigh-Bartlett and Raleigh-Frayser. Fortunately, our good reputation as a safe and clean community has rubbed off on other surrounding areas.

The Rebirth of Raleigh

Raleigh has transformed from a productive business/neighborhood to a "ghost town". Raleigh has seen growth and loss in the past 10 years. Unfortunately, more loss has occured than growth. We are proud to have The Home Depot and Burlington Coat Factory on Stage, but the declination of the Raleigh Springs Mall has become detrimental to the long term success of our neighborhood. The mall has lost every major retail giant from Goldsmith's, J.C. Penny and Dillards. Sears is the only retailer that has not given up on Raleigh. The Wolfchase Mall has depleted Raleigh Springs Mall and its customers.
