Pacific Health Ministry is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing community care in the State of Hawaii. The Interfaith Health Ministry Program focuses on providing health and spiritual services to frail and isolated people in their homes. This program has a staff of registered nurses that provide in-home assessment, health teaching, information about and referral to existing health and social resources. For clients who might benefit from having a friendly visitor, the nurse identifies, trains, matches and supervises volunteers from local churches and temples to serve the clients. The program welcomes volunteers and referrals for services. Call 808-843-8198 for further information. Presently, we serve East,Central and Windward areas of Oahu and hope to expand the program as more resources become available. There is no service fee to the client.
