Insurance & Supplementals

Do you think the teachers really didn't like the last levy?

What I heard was they didn't like the last contract. It didn't go to strike but the papers reported changes made to supplemental contract payments and if I remember right the insurance was changed and held to a very small increase for the district. The contract was significantly less than the past one agreed to by the district.

Picktown03 if you support a strike over the step increases get a petition & run for election - I want a yard sign.

But would the community and the people on this site be just as upset over a strike? Not many have their money where their mouth is.

Opportunity

Sounds like the time for an enterprising Educational Entrepreneur to enter and offer the district a contract to educate the kids for half of what we are current begin charged by the school district.

You know if we had a private school that had their retirement on social security like the rest of us and they had to pay the same portion of their pay check for health insurance like the rest of us maybe we would have teachers that taught our students something other than the liberal agendas they are currently teaching our children. It would be interesting to see if our children could be taught with maybe half of the dollars that the public schools are spending to educate our children.
Liberal Agenda?

If our kids are being taught a liberal agenda, I want to know what it is! I thought they were being taught reading, writing, and arithmetic. Or is that the liberal agenda?
