Posted in: PATA
Tonight the gang of four (Shaver, Hackworth, Riggs and Wisniewski) will be sworn in at the Pickerington city hall at 7:10 PM.

The State of Ohio Secretary of State will swear in Council person Heidi Riggs. The honorable Common pleas Judge Chris Martin will swear in Mayor Shaver, and Council persons Hackworth and Wisniewski
You All Looked Great

I was so excited seeing you being sworn into office. It truly was a different meeting than what the public is used to. I'm excited about receiving summaries of the Manager's Reports every meeting. We won't be mushrooms any more!

Be Happy Smile Bill

I noticed during the organizational meeting which was held in the back room that it seemed to take longer than one would expect. After all, how long does it take to elect the Chairmen or Chairwomen of four committees? It had some of us sitting on the edge of our seats wondering what was going on back there.

For the Safety Committee Brian Wisniewski is Chairman

How hard could that have been?

For Service committee Chairman you have Ted Hackworth as Chairman.

For the Rules Committee you have Heidi Riggs as Chairwoman

The finance committee has Heidi Riggs as chairman, with Ted Hackworth and Brian Wisniewski as the other members of that committee.

Bill Wright is on the Rules Committee I believe. Can someone explain the pained look on old Bill?’s face this evening exiting the back room meeting? He seemed to be in a very bad mood this evening.

Bill relax you get to do didley squat for the next two years. I am hoping to piss you off so that you will resign. Guess who will appoint your replacement?

Does Anyone care?

Quote from today's This week in Pickerington. What in the hell is Bill smoking? The president is next in line to be Mayor if the Mayor resigns or is removed from office. Bill is in the line of succession for Mayor; Bill you are number 12. That is four places behind the second shift janitor at the sewer plant.

''Wright said he had turned down a suggestion from Shaver and Riggs that he continue to serve as council president, because he felt that the community is better served when the mayor and council president are philosophically aligned.''

Bill continued with is his mind not in gear:

''It's no secret that there are different sides on council,'' Wright said. ''I think there is distrust by Mayor Shaver of the old council, and there is distrust by the old council of Mayor Shaver.''

Now you heard it here in This Week in Pickerington that Bill Wright is now the spokesman for the old council or AKA the advocates for growth by the BIA. That is 22 months and counting Bill.

Bill was just a Chatty Cathy in the This Week in Pickerington.

''Although committees of the whole are inconvenient and inefficient, requiring more and longer meetings of the entire council, Wright said that with the ''old'' and ''new'' split, such meetings might have served to build trust among the members''

Bill here is the trust thing again. It isn't only David Shaver that mistrust you and the group you are now the spokesman for. The whole damn town doesn't trust you. How long will it take to get that through your thick head? If David would have ever suggested that you be president I would have personally have circulted his recall petition. He may be a lawyer but he is not stupid. Bill you and your cronies had every opportunity to play ball. Yet you crooks spend half million dollars in special council meetings to hamstring the new council. The only way to deal with a lamp duck is to put it out of his misery and they other members of council did that Tuesday night Bill. You now have a lot more time you can now spend with your family and less time screwing up Pickerington in your failed policies.

Now let's read some insightful comments from our beloved departing City Manager from Mike Maurer and This Week in Pickerington. Mike a little word of advice give up the Joyce Bushman stories she had her gazebo named after her so let it go at that.

''The No. 1 issue, she believes, is that what people want for themselves conflicts with what they actually end up with when other people want the same thing.''

Does the above make any sense to anyone?

''People say they want 'smart growth,''' Bushman said. ''But smart growth is compact growth. Otherwise, you end up with urban sprawl.

''But (compact growth) is not what people want. They think 'density' is a dirty word.''

What she was saying is that she was moving to Oregon where those folks know about Smart Growth not just talk about it.

Apparently she hasn't heard that Harding moved to Oregon.

How does this sound?
