New Office Holders

Joyce couldn't get away with it.

Joyce?’s shenanigans wouldn?’t ever get off the ground here in Oregon Willard. You see her backroom antics don?’t stand a chance in the light of day and ALL of the surrounding communities not only hold public meetings (City Council(s), School Board(s), County Commissioner(s)) that are well advertised -- THEY ARE ALSO TELEVISED.

In addition to live broadcasts on local Public Broadcast stations, video replays occur during the week following the meetings, and copies of the videos are available at the public library.

Citizens here have no need to go to every meeting to be informed; the meetings are right there to be viewed as a way to keep abreast of important issues.

City Managers who ?“manage?” via press release, mumble without speaking into the microphone in front of them, fail to make eye contact or ramble off topic without answering direct questions are instantly exposed. In this manner there is no opportunity to ?“buffalo?” the public that pays their salaries ?– and the same goes for those elected to office.

Just think of it ?–

If the voting public had seen Joyce supporting the expenditure of $149,500.00 of Pickerington?’s general funds monies to SUPPORT a State wide referendum to kill annexation reform do you believe they?’d have gotten away with such a waste. ?– Not likely!

When the Zande Engineer planning the Sewer Plant expansion let the ?“cat out of the bag?” that Joyce had been paying them for the processing of this Hickory Lakes // OEPA loan deal months ahead of the public hearing in Aug. ?‘02 and the OEPA flatly denied any public funds were to be involved in consideration of the sewer plant expansion in the OEPA?’s Dec. ?’02 hearing reports, do you think some butts would have been spanked? -- Likely so!

Do you think that when Joyce, Lee, and Bob all wrote letters (on the same day) excusing one another of wrongdoing on Joyce?’s land option deals ?– had this happened at a televised meeting they would have been able to hide their complicity? ?– Likely not!

No matter the ?“lettered?” nature of Joyce?’s resume --- her ability to conduct ?“her?” type of
management doesn?’t exist here in Oregon and it doesn?’t take a ?“PATA?” (Portland Area Taxpayers Alliance) ?– there is no need -- all the information is right there for all to see.

Two men and a Truck

Mr. Harding I am glad that you are still paying attention. However rumors that they may be but I have heard that Mayor Shaver is drafting a strong letter of recommendation for the deposed City Manager to some little town in Oregon. I also understand there is a waiting list of locals wanting to help with the move. I believe the plan will be for the two men to supervise the towns folk while they pack her things.

I hope you caught her picture on the Gazebo in Bushman square in This Week in Pickerington. So maybe there is a need for Oregon to have some gazebos, brick cross walks, and maybe some mulch in the parking lots. Then fill the remaining open land with houses.

Yep get ready your fight is not over yet sir.

Your work isn't done either...

Willard,

A number of folks have sent me emails as to the actions and articles in Pickerington?’s struggles to take their government back. The fight is always ?“on?” ?– no matter where to remind elected?’s and appointed?’s that their responsibilities are to the public and not the moneyed special interests.

The one thing that I haven?’t been able to confirm is whether there is a ?“sponsor?” of the remaining three BGM men (too bad Doug wouldn?’t consider changing his name) as Bill & Mike fit so well into the symbolism of what that land optioning developer has stood for! ?– in a City Resolution to name the sewer plant expansion after Joyce. What would be more appropriate than that structure carrying her name? If they won?’t do it there could always be a citizen drafted resolution to the same impact. Wouldn?’t that just drive McTigue nuts opposing the drafting of an ORIGINAL CITIZEN RESOLUTION!

Rumor I heard was that Mayor Shaver was having a legal brief drafted to change the BIA lawsuit to Fairfield County rather than Franklin County where developer dollars speak even louder and adding requests for disclosure of the various partners of the Limited Liability Corporations (LLC?’s) that have acted as fronts for the land deals that Goldman turned into so many subdivisions. Since Goldman?’s clients want to sue the citizens ?– why should the public not know who really is behind the scenes and profiting at their expense? If that brief also expanded to the construction insurance bonding then their might be a lot of relocation of past Pickerington officials Joyce, Lee, Lou, Randy, etc.?– poor past Law Director McAuliffe might just have a lot more company soon.

Of course that would mean that your fight also isn?’t over.
With developers hounding the courts, past officials still trying to cash in on land development deals, special interests always trying to obscure school system directions with their ?“consensus?” dribble ?– who the heck would want to form consensus with some of the existing board members that have proven time and again they side with the developers and fall for the most outlandish ploys these developer tools concoct?

Yup, democracy everywhere takes a watchful citizenry to work.
