I am probably going to lose some respect with a lot of you, but this is how I feel.  I am a proud American,served over ten years in the military and I do know what a priviledge voting is.  But I have decided I am not going to vote this year.  My conscience won't let me.  There is no one I am excited about or comfortable with.  I am very disheartened by our political process if this is the best they can offer us in choices.  I think Obama is a good man, but I am not comfortable with his leadership ability.  I have rooted for McCain in past presidential bids, but when he chose Palin as his VP, I have to question his decision making.  I am not proud of either candidate.  Even on the local level.  I would never vote for Savage, but I feel Hahn is just along for the ride.  Nothing is getting changed, we don't seem to be moving forward.  I think he is just status quo.  Reichert and Howard, both of them I know.  Good men, but again I don't see any leadership coming from them.  Again just status quo.  There is no one I am excited about.  I feel real let down by our political system.  Maybe my perfect candidate doesn't really exist.  Maybe just a figment of my imagination.

To all my friends out there go and vote.  Vote for who you believe in.  I, unfortunately, don't belive in any of them.

After reading something Istreat posted a few days ago, I have decided to go through with an idea that I've been toying with for a while.  She wrote about writing somebody in.  So, I'm going to write in my high school government teacher, Dale Hibbs.  He was the best teacher I ever had because he knew how to get kids interested in what he was teaching.  In other words, he knew how to do his job, and he always did it to the best of his ability.  He understood responsibility and honesty, because when he accidently knocked a textbook out of the (third floor)window of his classroom, and he asked me to go get it, and the assistant principal saw me and assumed that I threw it out of the window, he told her what really happened, so I didn't get in trouble.  That, and, I heard a few years ago, that he went to college with Dick Cheney and just couldn't stand the guy.  Apparently, he slugged him in the face once.  I'm definitely writing in Dale Hibbs for President.  at least then I'd be voting for someone I know understands what its like to NOT be a politician.

I know yall think of me as tin foil guy, but to me you both have earn much respect from me. you are true Americans who will vote their heart, not what CNN and fox say you should vote. It is like the movie pirates of the caribbean, the worlds end. sparrow say to the pirate king. so it is all about survival and living a long time, the king says "no it is about living with yourself for a long time."  true American patriots you are. thank you  and long live America! 

Damn! After reading the last several posts, I almost feel guilty for even wanting to vote. But, being the hard core, staunchest freaking conservative republican I am, I'll overcome any guilt feelings and vote anyway, thank you.
