I gotta say, that I agree, with how the Journal portrayed it, it does kind of sound like sending the wrong message. With that being said, Our favorite partying places, back in the day, were the pits, and secluded farm houses out in the boonies. I'm not saying it is right, but, kids experiment in everything that they do! HOPEFULLY they learn from their bad experiences (without hurting themselves, or, others). I remember going to a party once, as a Senior, and then having to go to work @ Bandag Plant #2, that evening! The foreman, Jack Walters, put me on the "Press" (about 150 degrees). Thought I was gonna die, but knew I couldn't go home sick, or slack off. Taught me a lesson about partying hardy! |
